Danielle's Hungarian Red Cabbage

Why I Love This Recipe
This is an old family recipe from my soon to be sister in law - so I have made very few changes, just to suit my taste
Ingredients You'll Need
1 medium red cabbage, thinly shredded
3/4 c sugar
3/4 c canola oil
1 c cider vinegar
1 t caraway seeds
2 t salt
1 t pepper
Directions
Place all ingredients in stockpot, mixing thoroughly
Place on medium heat until mixture comes to a simmer
Lower heat and partially cover pot with lid
Cook until cabbage is tender crisp, about 35 to 40 minutes, stirring occasionally
