Dads Delicious Strawberry Rhubarb Pie

Why I Love This Recipe
My Dad has been making this pie for as long as I can remember. He grows Rhubarb in the garden and so every June on my Birthday I request this pie as my special treat instead of cake. It's the perfect summertime dessert, especially with vanilla bean ice cream. It's now my sons favorite dessert.
Ingredients You'll Need
2 cups chopped Rhubarb (small chunks)
2 -3 cups sliced strawberries
1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 T butter (to do throughout)
1 1/3 cups sugar
9 inch pie shell (pet ritz frozen is my favorite)
Directions
Preheat oven to 452 degrees
Mix all ingredients together
Put fruit mixture into bottom shell and then dot the butter throughout
Top with shell and flute edges. Cut a few slits in the top crust
Cover edges with tinfoil
Bake 40-50 minutes
Check at 25 minutes and if browning tent with tinfoil
