Chobolobo - Flaming Mango Dessert from Curaçao

Why I Love This Recipe
This flaming dessert uses Curaçao liqueur, made from a bitter orange called laraha which grows on the island of Curaçao.
Ingredients You'll Need
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons brown sugar
4 strips lime zest
2 mangoes, peeled, seeded and thickly sliced
4 tablespoons Curaçao liqueur
2 cups rum
finely ground fresh nutmeg
vanilla ice cream
Directions
Melt the butter in a chafing dish, adding the sugar and lime zest. Stir until the sugar has melted, then add the mango slices and sauté until the fruit is heated through. Pour the liqueur into the pan and shake the pan to spread it around. Add the rum and CAREFULLY ignite. When the flame subsided sprinkle with the nutmeg. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
