Why I Love This Recipe
They still sell this but the prizes in the boxes are the pits.
Ingredients You'll Need
20 cups popcorn
1 cup molasses
1 tsp. vinegar
1 cup sugar
1 cup peanuts
2 Tbsp. water
1 Tbsp butter
1 tsp. mixed spices (mace, ginger, cinnamon & nutmeg)
1/4 tsp. baking soda
Directions
Cook to hard ball stage 265 degrees.
Stir to keep from scorching.
Add butter and mixed spice. Add baking soda.
Stir lightly and while still foaming, pour over a mixture of 20 cups popcorn and 1 cup peanuts. Pour in flat buttered pan.
When cool, crumble into small pieces.
