BOILED CHOCOLATE FROSTING (ALSO CALLED JAPANESE FROSTING)

Why I Love This Recipe
This came from a Winnipeg bakery. It looks like a chocolate jelly on the cake. Only works on a chocolate cake.
Ingredients You'll Need
Boiled Chocolate Frosting
(double this for a two layer cake)
1 cup white sugar
1 tbsp. cocoa
2 heaping tbsp. corn starch
1 cup hot water
1 tbsp. butter
a pinch of salt
Directions
Method: Mix all of the dry ingredients together in a pot.
Add hot water slowly, stirring constantly.
Add the butter.
On medium heat bring to a boil stirring constantly to prevent lumping.
Cook for approximately 5 minutes after coming to a boil or until thick.
Now this must be thick. Cool for approximately 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
Spread on the bottom layer of a two layer cake. Put the second layer on top and ice all over.
