Aunt Judy's Chinese Crescents

Why I Love This Recipe
Ingredients You'll Need
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 Tbls. sugar
1 tsp. finely chopped onion
1 crushed clove garlic
1/4 tsp. ginger
1 crushed bay leaf
1/2 lb. sirloin steak, cut 1/4 inch thick
1 can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
5 oz. can water chestnuts, drained and thinly sliced
Directions
Mix first 6 ingredients in a zip lock bag.
Slice steak into 1/4 inch strips. Add to Zip bag and marinate meat in sauce for 30 minutes.
Separate crescent rolls and cut each in half down the center, making 2 narrow triangles.
Put meat strip and several slices of water chestnuts on each triangle, roll up, wide end first, put on cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes until light brown.
