This is our inaugural recipe exchange cookbook from the CHRISTUS Health HIM Corporate Coding team. We wanted to put this book together so we could all share in our holiday recipe traditions. Additionally, with COVID restrictions over the past year, it's harder to get together. Since we’re remote, it’s also hard to do a potluck and share recipes, but we can still share! We hope everyone truly enjoys the recipes and/or stories we have to share.

This is a frequent ‘go to’ of mine! It is SO EASY and delicious. When I buy chicken, I separate and freeze 3 chicken breasts at a time, so I can easy make this any time I get in a pinch. My Mom’s (aka GrandMollie’s) Breakfast Casserole
I am super traditional!! I make my Mom’s (aka GrandMollie’s) breakfast casserole EVERY Christmas morning!! It’s nice because you can make it ahead of time, refrigerate, & just throw it in the oven Christmas morning. It can cook & smell up the house while everyone opens gifts! I also serve it with fruit salad (which I will send the recipe for), store bought cream cheese Danish or something sweet, & Poinsettia mimosas (champagne & cranberry juice). Pace picante is a must for this southwest style dish & you can use regular breakfast sausage instead of sage. Thanks! Kellie Barnett, RHIA

Cookbook Recipe
Fruit Salad
I like bananas, strawberries, purple grapes, pineapple chunks, and mandarin oranges. Kellie Barnett, RHIA

Cookbook Recipe
Peach Dumplings
Like apple dumplings but more Southern! Kimberly Boyte RHIA, CCS, CDS

Cookbook Recipe
Streusel In-Between Pumpkin Cake
My Tips: I like to give this as Christmas gifts. Instead of a Bundt pan, I use two 9x5 loaf pans, split the cake batter equally between both loaf pans, then I crumble the streusel on top of each loaf pan (not in between). Dianna Marshall, COC

Cookbook Recipe
Jefferson’s WALDORF
I don’t personally enjoy celery, however, it’s a must have in this recipe because it gives a different texture in contrast to the apples, walnuts and marshmallows. I just chop perhaps 3, 3 inch stalks, first in quarters length-wise and then at maybe 1/8 inch cubes and then it blends in easier. ~ A box of chopped dates has been difficult to find in stores of late, at least in Vermont, and at times, Gia has been the designated chopper and she hates that!! I would also say, I tend to use more whip cream and two fairly hefty tablespoons of Miracle Whip that makes the salad creamy and the mayo balances the sweetness of the dates and other fruits. This has been a family Howe tradition for years and a hit with the younger generation, nieces and nephews for every Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners since 1990. The kid’s still refer to it as Uncle Jeff’s “monkey brains!” Enjoy! Jefferson L. Howe, MSA, RHIA

Cookbook Recipe
Dried Beef Dip
This is a recipe for all the non-cookers out there. It is one of my go to’s for parties because it’s really easy and very yummy! Laken Hooper, RHIA

Cookbook Recipe
Candied Bacon
This stuff is dangerous! When I make it in the toaster/convection oven, I have a horrible habit of eating the first tray before the second is done. I can't think of a thing to serve this with, it's better than my favorite Teriyaki Jerky! Sharon Nichols, BSBEB, RHIT, CCS, CHTS-TR, CRC

Cookbook Recipe
Fried Pickle Spears
This is one of my favorite snacks. Not too salty, not too greasy, and not too filling. Sharon Nichols, BSBEB, RHIT, CCS, CHTS-TR, CRC

Thank you for your interest in snicho35's cookbook and for helping support the BakeSpace community of independent cookbook authors!

Here’s some quick information regarding how our cookbook platform works, along with a few tips for making the most of cookbooks you add to your library.

What is the Cookbook Café Platform?

Cookbook Café is our one-of-a-kind cookbook publisher, marketplace and reader. It empowers everyone to create, market and distribute a cookbook as both a web-based eBook and an iPad app. It also makes it incredibly easy for home cooks to discover and use amazing grassroots cookbooks they won't find anywhere else. Since 2012, we've published thousands of cookbooks authored by home chefs, nonprofit organizations, clubs, brands, etc. Our goal is to democratize cookbook publishing and make it easy to build an online library of amazing grassroots cookbooks.

How do I "download" a cookbook?

You don't need to "download" cookbooks or deal with any files. All of the cookbooks you select (free and paid) using Cookbook Café become available to you automatically on any device (computer, tablet or smartphone) whenever you’re logged-in to your free BakeSpace account.

When you see a cookbook you like, simply click the green "Get it Now" button. If you're not logged in to BakeSpace, you'll be asked to login (or join) so the cookbook can be added to your cookbook library. Once in your library, you can access the cookbook anytime, anywhere via BakeSpace.com, as well as our Cookbook Café iPad app.

While you're checking out cookbooks, also take some time to visit other parts of the delicious BakeSpace.com community where you can swap recipes and connect with others who share your passion for food and the culinary lifestyle.

Get ready to enjoy a uniquely smart and social cookbook experience!

Once a cookbook is added to your BakeSpace library, our proprietary recipe indexing technology makes it easy for you to find any specific recipe across all of your cookbooks… so there's no need to remember which cookbook contains that perfect recipe. In addition, you can connect directly with each cookbook author, leave comments/reviews and even ask questions about recipe substitutions, history, etc.
