sesame cookies

  • 3/4 c sesame seeds
  • 1/2 c honey
  • 1/2 c coarsely chopped pistachios
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c butter
  • 1 1/2 c sugar
  • 2 1/2 c flour
  • 2 c semolina
  • 2t baking powder
  • 1/2 t salt
DIRECTIONS
  1. Mix eggs, butter, and sugar, beating to a thick paste
  2. add flour, semolina, and salt, then knead into dough
  3. Form into golf sized balls and roll in pistachios, then flatten on silpat sheet put on cookie sheet
  4. Continue until all dough is used, then brush with honey and sprinkle on sesame seeds
  5. bake in 350 degree oven for 15 minutes or until cookies are golden brown
  6. remove and put on cooling rack
