Wonderful Crockpot Lasagna

  • 1 1/2 lbs. lean hamburger
  • 1/4 tsp. organo
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp. basil
  • mozarella cheese (2 lbs.)
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 bulbs garlic chopped or 1 1/2 tsp. chopped bottled garlic
  • parmasean cheese
  • 2 jars Prego Spaghetti Sauce
  • (optional canned or fresh mushrooms)
  • (1/2 cup chopped green pepper)
  • cottage cheese
  • 1 box lasagna no cook noodles
DIRECTIONS
  1. Spray the crockpot well
  2. Brown the hamburger with all the spices, onion and garlic
  3. Pour 1/2 cup of Prego in bottom of crockpot and spread around
  4. break some noodles in half and layer to cover sauce
  5. add a layer of hamburger mixture
  6. 4 tsp. cottage cheese (in 4 dollops on separate parts of meat)
  7. cover this with mozarella cheese
  8. sprinkle parmasean cheese on top
  9. Repeat until you have 3-4 layers and end with mozarella cheese on top
  10. After cooking on low for 4 hr. let sit 5 minutes before cutting. Remove with spatula.
RECIPE BACKSTORY
This recipe was given to me by a friend, and I improvised on it until I thought it was perfect. I hope everyone enjoys it. I will never bake lasagna again. This is just that good.
