Oatmeal The Dutch Way
  • 2 1/2 cups 2% low fat milk
  • 1 1/2 cup Quaker Oats
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  1. Bring milk to a boil while stirring frequently.
  2. When milk is boiling, add raisins and oats;cook on medium heat for about 7 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Add cinnamon and stir. Add palm sugar or raw sugar to taste.
  4. Smaaklijk Eten!
I have lived in the USA since 1958, but still cannot get used to how Americans prepare oatmeal. I still prepare it the Dutch way. My wife who was born and raised here looks forward when I prepare oatmeal.
