Crustless Apple Pie

INGREDIENTS
  • Filling:
  • 6-7 apples (peeled, cored and sliced into 1/8's)
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 Cup water
  • Topping:
  • 6 T butter
  • 1/2 Cup brown sugar
  • 1 Cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
DIRECTIONS
  1. Filling:
  2. In heavy saucepan mix together sugar and cinnamon, add water and apples.
  3. Stir to coat apples and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  4. Bring to a boil; boil 10 minutes.
  5. Put cooked appole mixture into a greased 9 inch pie plate.
  6. Topping:
  7. Sift together flour and baking powder.
  8. Set aside.
  9. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  10. Gradually add flour/baking powder mix. Mix together well. (Mixture will be moist and crumbly.)
  11. Put topping over apples.
  12. Use all of the topping.
  13. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
  14. Note: The pie will run over when baking. Put foil under the pie plate.
