Basil Aioli
INGREDIENTS
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. shallot, chopped
  • 1 ea. egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. fresh basil
  • salt
  • pepper
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a blender, add lemon juice, garlic, shallot and egg yolk.
  2. Blend for one minute.
  3. In a thin stream add oil SLOWLY or your emulsion will break.
  4. Add basil and season to taste with salt and pepper.
