Izquiate or Chia FrescaIzquiate is a drink the Tarahumara or "running people" of Mexico drink for energy and longevity. I had read about the drink in a book called Born to Run, written about the Tarahumara and their incredible ultra running capabilities. I grew up running, so I found it interesting and healthy to supplement my diet with Izquiate. It turns out that Chia seeds are a superfood and are loaded with nutrients and minerals.
